Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center
The Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center (GLBRC) is a global leader in fundamental and applied research to catalyze a technically advanced biofuels industry that is economically and environmentally sustainable. Its mission is to perform the basic research that generates technology to convert cellulosic biomass to ethanol and other advanced biofuels. The GLBRC is one of three BRCs established by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science, and the only one based at an academic institution.
